Countywide Proposal -- 911 Operational Surcharge Renewal

For the period beginning in December of 2003 and continuing through the month of November in the year 2008, shall Newaygo County be authorized to assess a monthly surcharge of up to 16% (not to exceed $3.00) of the highest monthly flat rate for basic single party telephone service within the geographic boundaries of Newaygo County to exclusively finance the equipping and operating costs of the 911 emergency telephone answering and dispatch system within Newaygo County? This is a renewal of a previously voter-approved authorization that will expire before the effective date of this authorization.

Lilley Township Proposal -- Improvements to Local Roads and Bridge Maintenance - 1 Mil

Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Lilley Township, Newaygo County, imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution, be increased for the township by up to 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2003 through 2006, inclusive, for improvements to local roads and for bridge maintenance within the township and shall the township levy such increase in millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $22,968.22?
