Shall Branch County be annexed as a part of the community college district of Kellogg Community College, State of Michigan, in accordance with the provisions of Act 331, Public Acts of Michigan, 1966, as amended? This proposition applies to that portion of Branch County which can be annexed under Act 331.
Shall taxes currently authorized to be levied by Kellogg Community College, State of Michigan be imposed as new additional millage on taxable property in the portion of Branch County annexed as a part of the community college district of Kellogg Community College to provide funds to the College for the following purposes? In an amount not to exceed Two Dollars and 86.36 cents ($2.8636) per thousand dollars (2.8636 mills) of the taxable value, beginning in 2002 and in perpetuity, for operating purposes, and; In an amount not to exceed 84.70 cents ($0.8470) per thousand dollars (0.8470 mill) of the taxable value, for a period of eleven (11) years from 2002 to 2012, inclusive, for the purposes of major repairs, reconstruction and contruction of College facilities. It is estimated that these mills would raise approximately $2,960,000 when first levied in 2002.
