ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE MILLAGE PROPOSAL Shall the Ad Valorem tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6, of the Michigan Constitution be increased by 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) on all real and personal property in Bangor City, Van Buren County, Michigan for a period of five (5) years commencing in tax year 2016 - 2020 inclusive for the purpose of providing funds for road improvement and maintenance within the City? It is anticipated that the revenue collected by Bangor City as a result of this proposal will be $39,837 in the first year of the levy. A portion of the revenue collected may be required to be distributed to Downtown Development Authorities, Tax Increment Financing Authorities, Local Development Financing Authorities and Brownfield Redevelopment Authorities established in Bangor City.
MILLAGE PROPOSAL, BUILDING AND SITE SINKING FUND TAX LEVY Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Gobles Public Schools, Van Buren and Allegan Counties, Michigan, be increased by and the board of education be authorized to levy not to exceed 2 mills ($2.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2016 to 2025, inclusive, to create a sinking fund for the construction or repair of school buildings and all other purposes authorized by law; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2016 is approximately $322,164?
