Emergency Response Deputies Millage -- Gratiot County

GRATIOT COUNTY EMERGENCY RESPONSE DEPUTIES MILLAGE PROPOSAL Shall the limitation upon the total amount of general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and personal tangible property for all purposes in any one year under the Michigan Constitution be increased in the County of Gratiot – Michigan by 0.45000 mills (which is equal to $.45 per $1,000 of taxable value of all such property) for a period of six (6) years, 2012 through 2017, inclusive, for the purpose of paying partial costs of current staffing levels of police protection services to be provided through the County Sheriff’s Office, including the costs of 24-hour road patrol and Sheriff’s Office staffing and equipment? The amount of revenue the County will collect if this millage is approved and levied by the County in the first year is estimated to be $486,975. This proposal is for a new additional millage the revenue from which would be disbursed to the County of Gratiot.

Fulton Township -- Roads, Streets, Culverts and Bridges

Fulton Township Roads, Streets, Culverts And Bridges Millage Proposal Shall Fulton Township impose an increase of up to 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 4 years, 2012 through 2015, inclusive for roads, streets, culverts and bridges, which 1.0 mills will raise an estimated $67,000 in the first year the millage is levied – of which a portion will be disbursed to Gratiot County Road Commission or other local units of Government as the Township Board determines appropriate?

Wheeler Township -- Road Maintenance and Repairs

Wheeler Township Road Maintenance and Repairs Millage Proposal Shall the Township of Wheeler, excluding the Village of Breckenridge, impose an increase of up to 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of Taxable Value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution, and levy it for 5 years, 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for the purpose of Road Maintenance and Repairs. This new millage could raise an estimated $134,000 in the first year of levy?

City of St. Louis -- Amendment to Charter

City of St. Louis Amendment to Charter Proposal “Shall Section 6-1 of the City Charter of the City of St. Louis be amended to provide for appointment and removal of the City Clerk by the City Council, to allow delegation of duties by the City Manager, and to redefine the powers and duties of the City Clerk to provide that the City Clerk will no longer act as the general accountant of the City or have the powers and duties associated with the position of general accountant, but will retain those other powers and duties currently set forth in the Charter of the City of St. Louis?
