South Haven City Charter Amendment -- Improvement & Repair Millage

South Haven City Charter Amendment Authorizing Right-of-Way Improvement and Repair Millage This amendment to Section 9.1 of the Charter authorizes a new millage to fund right-of-way repairs and improvements for twenty years, and gives the voters the authority to reauthorize this millage in the future, a portion of which may be captured by the City's Downtown Development Authority, Local Development Finance Authority, or Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. Shall the Charter be amended to authorize a new tax of 1.6282 mills for right-of-way repairs and improvements in the years 2008 through 2027, estimated to raise $566,166.00 in the first year, which tax the voters may reauthorize for up to twenty year periods?

Bloomingdale Township Proposal -- Sewer Authority

Shall the Township of Bloomingdale, Van Buren County, Michigan, enter into the Bloomingdale Area Sewage Disposal System Bond Contract with the Bloomingdale Area Utilities Authority, the Village of Bloomingdale and the Township of Cheshire? PURPOSE OF CONTRACT The Contract provides for the acquisition, construction, financing and operation of the Bloomingdale Area Sewage Disposal System consisting of a new sanitary sewer collection system to serve areas in the Townships of Bloomingdale and Cheshire adjacent to Duck and Eagle Lakes and the Metron Nursing Home, and a new wastewater treatment facility to replace the existing Village of Bloomingdale wastewater treatment facility at a total estimated cost of $6,400,000. In addition, the Contract provides that the Authority shall assume responsibility for the ownership, operation and maintenance of the existing Village of Bloomingdale sanitary sewer collection system.
